Thursday, January 05, 2012
Calling all super heroes! Super Grover needs your help – and its Elmo and the Fabulous Five to the rescue when this fantastic musical production zooms into Memphis. Join Elmo, Zoe, Abby Cadabby, Telly Monster and Zoe’s pet rock Rocco for Sesame Street Live “Elmo’s Super Heroes”, now featuring the all-new Play Zone, at FedExForum, Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24.
Tickets for all five performances go on sale Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 10 a.m. at all at all Ticketmaster locations, ticketmaster.com, the FedExForum Box Office or by phone at (800) 745-3000. Tickets are available from $12-$25 with a limited number of $35 Gold Circle Seats and $55 Sunny Seats. All Opening Night tickets are available for $12 with the exception of Gold Circle and Sunny Seats. Come and play before the show! VEE Corporation introduces Play Zone at Sesame Street Live – a fun new way for children to experience their favorite street! Imagine your child sitting in Big Bird’s nest, popping up in Oscar’s trash can, twirling in Zoe’s dance studio or visiting Elmo’s World. You never know who’ll make an appearance! Families won’t want to miss a single picture-perfect moment. Play Zone opens one hour before the show – best of all, Play Zone is FREE with your Sesame Street Live ticket!
When Super Grover loses his superness, Sesame Street needs a hero! Never fear, Elmo and his team of super heroes are here. Teaching lessons of healthy habits through song and dance, Elmo, Abby Cadabby and your favorite Sesame Street friends will explore exercise, nutrition, sleep/energy and hygiene – all in a quest to put the “super” back in Super Grover. It’s Elmo’s Super Heroes to the rescue!
Sesame Street Live “Elmo’s Super Heroes” features an array of popular (and healthy!) songs, many of them renditions of tunes that parents will remember and kids will love: “Old MacDonald,” “Splish Splash,” “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and “Sunny Days.” Like television’s Sesame Street, each Sesame Street Live production features timeless lessons for all ages. Through the dazzle of this full-blown Broadway-quality show, the production will teach children lessons in healthy habits that they can use long after the show ends. Adults will appreciate the universal appeal of Sesame Street Live, the high-tech stagecraft and cleverly written scripts.
