Eleven-time Grammy Award winning rock band Foo Fighters today announced their 2017 arena tour, Concrete and Gold, set to hit FedExForum on Tuesday, October 24. The rock group is touring in support of their upcoming album, Concrete and Gold, to be released this coming fall on September 15.

After releasing their 2014 album, Sonic Highways, Foo Fighters packed arenas and stadiums across the country on one of the top five grossing tours of 2015. While Sonic Highways was applauded by AllMusic as “classic rock that unites the U.S. from coast to coast,” the group’s upcoming ninth studio album, Concrete and Gold, features 11 tracks that combine hard rock extremes and pop sensibilities. The album is currently available for pre-order at https://www.foofighters.com/. Produced by Beaver Entertainment, Foo Fighters’ Concrete and Gold Tour is set to hit 25 cities this fall.
ABOUT FOO FIGHTERS
Founded by drummer Dave Grohl, the rock band Foo Fighters was formed in 1994 after the disbandment of Grohl’s former group, Nirvana. The Foo Fighters blend soft musical elements with heavier ones with their sound being described as alternative and hard rock. Led by Grohl on lead vocals and guitar, the group currently consists of six members with Nate Mendel on Bass, Pat Smear and Chris Shiflett on guitar and backup vocals, Taylor Hawkins as the band’s drummer and Rami Jaffee on the keyboard. In 1995, they debuted their first album, Foo Fighters, which spawned modern rock hits “This Is a Call” and “I’ll Stick Around.” The album earned Foo Fighters their first Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album. Foo Fighters have won 11 Grammy Awards, four of them for Best Rock Album. Their upcoming ninth studio album Concrete and Gold marries some of the heaviest riffs with lush harmonic complexities, claiming to be “the biggest sounding Foo Fighters record ever” by Grohl.
